Alicia Chapman is a contemporary artist, illustrator, lettering artist, and creative leader based in Dallas, Texas. She creates art and design that celebrate culture, nature, and human connection. Working across fine art, murals, illustration, and lettering, her practice blends storytelling, symbolism, and craftsmanship to produce work that feels both personal and universal.

With more than a decade of experience leading creative teams and designing products for startups and Fortune 500 companies, Alicia brings a unique perspective shaped by both the fine arts and the design industry. Her creative journey began with a love of drawing and evolved under the influence of graffiti culture in the late 1990s, during which she developed a deep appreciation for lettering, calligraphy, scale, and public expression. She has since designed experiences for globally recognized brands, including Barbie and Ever After High, while continuing to build a multidisciplinary art practice rooted in curiosity, observation, and storytelling.

Artist Statement

Alicia Chapman is an American contemporary artist whose work explores the relationship between identity, nature, and the human spirit. Through painting, drawing, and mural work, she creates imagery that celebrates resilience, transformation, and connection. Her work centers on women as icons of strength and dignity. Fauna and flora recur throughout, infusing the work with symbolism.

Alicia’s work is informed by observations of nature, people, and the subtle emotional undercurrents that shape experience. She draws on personal reflection, cultural heritage, and devotional imagery, translating them into compositions that illuminate the quiet beauty of everyday life. Alicia’s work invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with the wonder that exists all around us. Through layers of symbolism and storytelling, she seeks to create work that feels both intimate and timeless.
